Q: Please tell us a great story about your business, your experiences and the gritty back-story of your journey and why your business or products are your passion.


A: Our jam story began just 3 short years ago when two best friends with a passion for food, fun, and all things vintage started making jam to sell at our local farmers market. We quickly learned that people LOVE jam! We use time honored traditions as well as unique innovative techniques to craft each small batch of jam & jelly, just like your Grandma used to do it ... but this ain't your Grandma's jam! We're proud to be from the great mitten state and strive to use as much Michigan produce and products as possible in each and every small batch that we can by hand. With over 60 unique flavor combinations, it's no wonder we've been called "The Willy Wonka of Jams!"



Q: What has been your biggest success?

A: Each event/show we participate in gains us more and more Jam Fans! We love the opportunity to interact with our customers, talk food with people, and have fun with our vintage vibe. We started "dressing the part" back in 2015 with vintage style dresses and hair. We've found that our Jam Fans love our Lucy and Ethel shtick!

The online community (especially Instagram) has helped us gain notoriety in Michigan and beyond. Our connections with other artisan food makers as well as small shop owners have helped us move our product throughout Michigan and has brought us many new exciting opportunities in the past few years ... each small success brings us closer to WORLD JAM DOMINATION!


Q: What has been your biggest struggle?

A: Finding the right venues and stores to sell our artisan jams & jellies. When we started looking further than the local markets to sell our products at we had a hard time finding events that weren't all just handmade crafts. We still struggle with picking the right venues and stores that will showcase our products and draw in our foodie friends.


Q: What's your niche?

A: Our Niche is simply anyone interested in really good food! Our customers are looking for products with simple wholesome ingredients, akin to how things used to be made by their sweet Grandmother. We offer a throwback experience, complete with a fun vintage flair, unlike any other jam maker in today's market. We've also found our niche in small retail stores that focus on unique home and kitchen products as well as Made in Michigan products. Our artisan jams and jellies can be found in 7 retail stores throughout Michigan, as well as online.


Q: Where do you see the retail industry in ten years?

A: We're moving into an age where people want an experience to go along with their product. Customers want to know where things were made, how they were made, and by whom. If you don't have a unique product and a great story the customers will look elsewhere.
